My name is Anna, and I am currently a Junior at Salida High School. I was born in Salida, and have lived here all my life. I have always been interested in people in general. I believe that behind every person is an inspiring story, and i would love to hear all of them. Have you ever met someone and as you look into their eyes you can just see their whole life? You can feel the heartache, the trials, and the lessons learned. Behind each minute sparkle in every eye, is an untold adventure and reason for why someone is the way that they are. That's what i love about people; knowing that if you can get them to open up, you can be surprised at what they reveal. I guess that is why I've always loved movies, because every movie is not only the story you see on screen, but it's also the story that occurs behind the scenes. It's a way to escape your own story and get the chance to learn from someone else's. Every time I see a good movie, I get so immersed in the story, and I actually learn a lot. I think it's safe to say that the way I learn things is probably about 50% from school, 25% living life and 25% through movies. Perhaps this is why i have the life goals that i do. After graduating from high school, i plan to go to CSU in Ft. Collins and do a double major in Technical Journalism, and a BFA in Drawing and Photography. Then I plan to move to L.A. and go to the University of Southern California and major in Motion Picture Production. At that time i will hopefully have an internship at one of the movie studios, and then proceed to work my way up to Director and/or Producer. Naturally, when we got this project to study a group of people, and i found out that one of the ways I could present it was in a movie, I was stoked. But unfortunately time flew by, and I didn't have time for a movie. But in doing this project I still got to do one thing I love and that is hearing peoples' stories. I learned a lot through this project, and it was hard yet fun at the same time. |
